How it works

Write today. Deliver when it matters.

Six steps, and you only have to think about the first three. Here is exactly what happens to a letter between the moment you write it and the moment it arrives.

  1. 01

    Write it

Write it in your own words, and attach photographs, a voice note, a video or a document if you want to. Nothing is published, and nothing is sent while you are still working on it — a letter stays a draft until you schedule it.

  2. 02

    Choose who receives it

Add recipients by email. They do not need an account and they do not need the app. Each recipient is stored against the letter and only ever receives that letter.

  3. 03

    Choose when

A fixed date and time, or a recurring date such as a birthday or anniversary. Advanced scheduling — conditional and multi-stage releases — is available on paid plans.

  4. 04

    We hold it

The letter is stored encrypted at rest and is not publicly addressable. You can edit it, reschedule it or delete it at any point before delivery. Deleting it removes the content, not just the listing.

  5. 05

    It is delivered

On the scheduled day, the recipient gets an email telling them a letter is waiting and a private link to read it. The notification itself never quotes your content.

  6. 06

    You get confirmation

Every delivery attempt is recorded — queued, sent, opened, or failed — and you can see the trail for each letter. A failure is retried rather than dropped silently.

The things people actually ask

Can I change a letter after scheduling it?
Yes, any time before it is delivered. Once it has been delivered it cannot be recalled, in the same way an email cannot.
What if my recipient's email address stops working?
The delivery is marked failed and retried, and you are notified so you can correct the address. Your letter is not lost.
What if I stop paying?
Letters you have already scheduled are still delivered, and you keep access to read, export and delete everything. Paid plans gate capacity and advanced scheduling, never access to your own content.
