Check what you downloaded
Android will warn you that this file did not come from the Play Store. That warning is correct and you should take it seriously: the way to be sure the file is ours is to check its fingerprint. On a computer, run sha256sum wishmyletter-v1.1.0-2-release.apk and compare the result with this:

Installing it
- Tap the download button above and wait for the file to finish.
- Open it. Android will ask whether to allow installations from your browser — allow it for this one file.
- Install, then open MyWishLetter and sign in with your email.
- Turn that browser permission back off afterwards. It is not needed again, and leaving it on means the next file you tap can install itself too.
What the app does, and what it does not
You can write letters, schedule them, edit them and read them back. Signing in works by emailing you a link, the same as on the web.
Photos, voice notes, videos and documents are on the website only for now. Those files are encrypted on your own device before they are uploaded, and that encryption is currently implemented in the browser. Rather than reimplement it in the app and risk files that upload successfully but cannot be opened later, the app leaves attachments alone and points you to the web.
Everything in the app is the same account and the same letters — there is nothing to move across.
